Vocabulary sources & licences
Goatlingo writes and reviews its own learner-facing teaching content. Some words in the curriculum were selected using openly licensed frequency data derived from the Yle Finnish News Archive and the Kotus modern Finnish word list.

Some vocabulary selection and frequency information
The first 1,000 curriculum entries were seeded by filtering a news-frequency dataset to nouns, verbs, and adjectives. News frequency is a selection signal, not a claim that these are universally the most useful Finnish words.

Lessons, translations, and explanations
English meanings, explanations, learner notes, examples, inflections, visual cues, topic placement, and the evolving curriculum order are written and reviewed for Goatlingo.

Changes made: Goatlingo filtered and merged the source records, initially limited the selection to qualifying nouns, verbs, and adjectives, and uses a separate product-specific curriculum order. All learner-facing teaching content is independently prepared for Goatlingo.
